Just because I am Queer, I have to go on everyday hiding, because some people are afraid of others who are Different. Just because I am queer I can’t look into my mother’s eyes every time she tells me how happy she will be when she will see me in the white dress married to a man. Just because I am queer I have to hide the truth from my the closest people to my heart knowing that if I told them the truth they will get scared and I will get hurt. Just because I am queer I lost a lot of my friends between my double life that I face everyday and my cause.
But then again, just because I am queer I have friends who tolerate me. Just because I am queer I know that I will help the world one day write our history and confess that we exist. Just because I am queer, doesn’t mean that I am sick or abnormal.
We are everywhere, we are your best friends, your doctors, you coworkers, your colleagues, your teachers, your daughters, your sisters, we are everywhere, and one day you will see us, just when you look at us in an acceptable way.
